GT Task 2: are younger people better leaders?
The question
Some people believe that younger people make better leaders. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
How to answer it
The candidate did not preserve the full sentence, so treat the theme rather than the wording as the practice target. Argue against age as a proxy: what people mean by 'younger' is usually adaptability and comfort with change, and what they mean by 'older' is usually judgement built from having been wrong before. Say that both are qualities, not birthdays, and give one example of each — then take a clear position anyway, because a GT Task 2 without a stance loses marks.
What moves the band
- GT Task 2 is marked on the same four criteria as Academic, but everyday examples from your own life are fully acceptable.
- 250 words minimum still applies; two developed body paragraphs is the safe structure under time pressure.
