How to answer it
Two of these five are comparison questions, which is what the examiner is actually listening for. Prepare one clear then-versus-now contrast about a park you know: more equipment and cameras, fewer children playing unsupervised, an outdoor gym where the football pitch was.
What moves the band
- Comparatives with hedging: noticeably better kept, not nearly as busy, far more families than there used to be.
- Green-space lexis: a breathing space, well maintained, tucked away behind, a bit run-down.
